Who can take part

  • Your child must be 10 to 17 years old.
  • Your child must have a mild-to-moderate intellectual disability or a developmental disability (like autism).
  • Your child must have moderate-to-severe asthma (not mild asthma).
  • Your child must use one of these inhalers: Ventolin, ProAir, Advair, Flovent, Xopenex, Symbicort, Atrovent, Proventil, Alvesco, Dulera, or Asmanex HFA.
  • You and your child must be willing to follow study steps and answer questions about your child's health.
  • Your child should not be in any other study that uses a smart inhaler.
