Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
  • You are scheduled for robot-assisted surgery to remove the cancer (curative intent).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or lower.
  • You are able to answer a short questionnaire about how you feel after surgery (QoR15).
  • You will not need a stoma (a bag for waste) during or after surgery.
  • Your cancer has not spread to other parts of the body (non-metastatic).
  • You have not had chemotherapy or radiation before surgery (no neoadjuvant treatment).
  • You have had fewer than 3 previous abdominal surgeries.
