Who can take part
- You delivered at the University of Michigan or enrolled in their postpartum blood pressure program.
- You were at least 23 weeks pregnant at delivery.
- You had a diagnosis of high blood pressure or a hypertensive disorder like preeclampsia during pregnancy.
- You had two or more blood pressure readings of 160/110 or above at least 1 hour apart, or a high heart-strain marker (BNP) within 12 hours of delivery.
- You agree to use a planned birth control method during the trial.
- You do not plan to get pregnant in the next 8 months and will not be breastfeeding after enrollment.
