  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for major cancer surgery on your abdomen, chest (including breast), or gynecologic area.
  • You do not have unstable heart or lung conditions, severe organ disease, or disabling physical or mental health issues.
  • You are not already in excellent physical shape and well-nourished (based on specific tests).
