Who can take part

  • Your thyroid cancer is less than 4 cm wide
  • You have cancer in both sides of your thyroid, or it has spread to neck lymph nodes
  • Your vocal cords are working normally (checked a week before surgery)
  • You have not had thyroid surgery before, and you need to have your whole thyroid removed
  • Your blood pressure is under control, and you are able to talk and understand after surgery
