Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have stable chest pain (chronic coronary syndrome) or unstable chest pain (non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome).
  • A CT scan or angiogram showed a borderline blockage (40-69% narrowing) or a more severe blockage (70% or more) in one of your main heart arteries.
  • You will have or have had a heart catheterization with an advanced camera (OCT) to see inside the artery.
  • You have not had a stent placed in the last 6 months, and you have never had a heart attack, heart failure, or bypass surgery.
  • Your liver and kidney function are normal (no severe liver or kidney disease), and you do not have inherited high cholesterol, cancer, or a life expectancy less than 1 year.
