ACL repair with stem cells from your own knee fat

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and scheduled for ACL reconstruction with a patellar tendon graft at Houston Methodist.
  • You are willing and able to attend physical therapy at a Houston Methodist clinic after surgery.
  • You do not have diabetes, heart disease, active infections, bleeding problems, or a weak immune system.
  • You have not had prior surgery on the same knee, and you are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study.
  • You speak English and have no metal implants or allergy to contrast dye used in imaging.
