  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have Parkinson's disease or essential tremor.
  • Your tremor does not get better with medication.
  • Deep brain stimulation (a type of brain surgery) is not right for you, or you choose not to have it.
  • You can safely have an MRI scan and general anesthesia.
