This study tests if video clips recorded at home can help diagnose obstructive sleep apnea in children, possibly reducing the need for an overnight hospital sleep test. It may be a good fit if your child is between 2 and 18 years old, has been referred for a sleep study, and you have a smartphone or tablet.

  • Child is between 2 and 18 years old
  • Child has been referred for an overnight sleep study (PSG) to check for sleep apnea at a local hospital
  • Parent or caregiver has access to a smartphone or tablet for recording video
  • Child has never been diagnosed with a sleep breathing problem from a sleep study in the last 5 years
  • Child can cooperate with the sleep study and does not have a condition that prevents speech or communication
  • Parent or caregiver can speak English or French
