Who can take part

  • Your child must have had a Staph aureus infection found on a nasal swab in the past
  • Your child must be under 18 years old
  • Your child must have finished mupirocin nose ointment at least 2 days ago and be staying in the hospital for over 3 more days after that
  • You will need a healthy donor (like a parent or other caregiver) who does not have Staph in their nose and is not sick with a cold or flu
  • Infants younger than 2 months must have been born at more than 25 weeks of pregnancy
