Dupilumab for nasal polyps with staph bacteria

This trial studies whether dupilumab (an injection) can reduce staph bacteria in the nose and make the nose’s microbes more diverse in adults with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). If you already have a plan to start dupilumab as standard care, the study may help doctors better understand why it works.

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 65
  • You have a history of CRSwNP, including if you also have AERD
  • A nose culture test at the first visit must show Staphylococcus aureus (a type of staph)
  • You’ve had FESS surgery before, and your sinus openings are still open enough to take samples
  • If you have asthma or eczema, they must be well controlled
  • You must be able to start dupilumab for nasal polyps as part of your usual care and meet FDA rules for it
