Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have a certain type of staph bacteria (MSSA) in your nose, not the resistant type (MRSA).
  • You must not have any major health problems like diabetes or heart disease.
  • You must not have a runny nose from allergies or other causes.
  • You must not have used antibiotics or any nose treatment in the last 12 weeks.
