Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Your nearsightedness must be no more than -10.0 diopters (a moderate to high level) and stable for at least 2 years.
  • You must have good vision with glasses or contacts (corrected vision of 20/20 or better).
  • You cannot have worn contact lenses for at least 2 weeks before the study.
  • Your cornea must be thick enough to leave a safe layer of at least 280 micrometers after surgery.
  • You should not have certain eye diseases, diabetes, or severe mental health conditions.
