Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have typical atrial flutter and need a procedure to fix it (ablation).
  • You have never had atrial fibrillation before.
  • You have heart failure (NYHA class II or higher) and your NT-pro-BNP level is above a certain threshold.
  • You have been on optimized heart failure medications for at least one month.
  • You have been on blood thinners (anticoagulation) for at least three weeks.
  • You are willing and able to sign a consent form.
