Who can take part

  • You had a spinal cord injury in your neck (between C1 and C8) that is incomplete, meaning you still have some movement or feeling below the injury.
  • Your injury happened between 4 and 28 days ago.
  • You do not need a breathing tube or machine to help you breathe (or you only need it a little).
  • You are medically stable and able to participate in the study.
  • Your injury was not caused by a gunshot, knife, or other penetrating wound.
