Who can take part

  • You are between 21 and 65 years old.
  • You have a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) and at least moderate depression and anxiety (scores of 21+ on the MADRS scale and 10+ on the GAD-7).
  • You are currently taking a stable dose of an SSRI or SNRI antidepressant, but it hasn't worked well enough for your current depression episode.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after.
  • You do not have a history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, certain other mental health conditions, or serious suicide risk.
  • You have not used certain psychedelics (like psilocybin, LSD) more than 10 times in the last 10 years, or at all in the past 6 months.
