Who can take part

  • You must be Japanese (for parts 1, 2, and 3) or a non-Asian healthy man (for part 1 only).
  • Your age must be between 18 and 55 (or 65-80 for the elderly group in part 1), or 18-65 (part 2), or 18-80 (part 3).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be within a specific range set by the study doctors.
  • You cannot have a history of serious diseases like heart, lung, kidney, liver, or stomach problems, cancer, or mental health disorders.
  • You cannot have a drug allergy, alcohol or drug addiction, or be a smoker during the study period.
  • You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a child (for parts 2 and 3).
