This study uses PET and MRA scans to predict damage to large blood vessels in people who have or may have large vessel vasculitis (LVV). It aims to find at-risk patients early so they can get better care. You'll need to be willing to have both scans and come back for long-term check-ups.

Who can take part

  • You have or may have large vessel vasculitis (LVV), a condition that causes swelling in your large arteries.
  • You are willing to get a PET and MRA scan (special imaging tests).
  • You are able to return for regular follow-up visits over a long period.
  • You do not have other serious heart or blood vessel diseases, cancer, active infections, or severe kidney problems.
  • You are not pregnant, nursing, or allergic to the contrast dye used in the scans.
  • You do not have implanted metal devices like a pacemaker, aneurysm clips, insulin pump, or other non-MRI-safe metal in your body.
