This study tests a new device called SENSE to see if it can detect traumatic brain injury (TBI) quickly. You may qualify if you have a TBI with bleeding seen on a CT scan, or if you are a healthy volunteer without brain problems.

Who can take part

  • You must be 22 years or older.
  • You either have a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and had a head CT scan, or you are a healthy volunteer with normal brain health.
  • If you have a TBI, bleeding in your brain must be visible on at least 3 CT scan slices.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You cannot have metal clips, coils, or devices in your brain.
  • You must agree to follow the study schedule and sign a consent form (or have a family member sign for you).
