Who can take part

  • Be a woman between 18 and 75 years old with a BMI at or under 32.
  • Be alert, able to make decisions, and have an adult stay with you before and after surgery.
  • You and your family must understand and agree to the surgery and anesthesia, and be ready for day surgery (go home the same day).
  • Have no serious health problems (like heart, lung, liver, kidney disease, or bleeding issues).
  • Have a low risk of internal scar tissue (adhesions) based on a special scoring system.
