Who can take part

  • You have had knee pain for at least 3 months and rate it as 4 or higher on a 0-10 pain scale.
  • You have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (grade 2 or 3) by X-ray.
  • You have not had physical therapy for your knee in the last 3 months.
  • You have not had any injections in your knee in the last 6 months.
  • You have not taken pain relievers like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or topical creams in the last week.
  • You have no other medical condition that could cause knee pain, such as back or hip problems, fibromyalgia, or prior knee surgery.
