Heating therapy before surgery for high-risk soft tissue sarcoma

Sarcoma,Soft Tissue

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Injuries & trauma clinical trials.

This trial tests a new approach for high-risk soft tissue sarcoma of the arm, leg, or trunk. Before surgery, you would receive chemotherapy combined with local hyperthermia (a treatment that gently heats the tumor area) to see if this can improve outcomes.

NCT05167994Recruiting· Phase 2
Pre-surgery radiation plus an anti-cancer drug for soft tissue sarcoma

This Phase 2 trial tests whether giving radiation before surgery, along with anlotinib and penpulimab, can improve treatment for localized soft tissue sarcoma. It may help shrink or control the tumor before conservative surgery.

Checking chemotherapy before and after surgery for high-risk sarcoma

This Phase 3 trial tests whether giving chemotherapy around the time of surgery (before/after) can improve outcomes for people with high-risk localized soft-tissue sarcoma. It uses special tumor testing (CINSARC) to help identify higher-risk patients who may benefit.

Blood and tissue study in high-risk sarcoma

This study collects blood and tissue samples from people with high-risk soft tissue sarcoma before their surgery. The goal is to learn how the immune system responds to pre-surgery treatments like radiation and hyperthermia (heat therapy).

Radiation plus L-TC for soft tissue sarcoma before surgery

This trial tests whether adding a drug called L-TC (liposomal transcrocetin) to standard radiation therapy before surgery can help treat soft tissue sarcoma of the arm or leg. It is for people whose cancer is grade 2 or 3 (moderate to high grade) and has not spread to other parts of the body.
