Testing cavity disinfectants for deep tooth decay pain

Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have deep decay in a lower molar tooth that is at least two-thirds into the dentin layer
  • The tooth must still respond to a cold or electric test (not be dead)
  • You have been diagnosed with moderate pulpitis (the nerve is inflamed but still alive)
  • The X-ray shows no sign of infection beyond the tooth root
  • Gums are healthy and the tooth is not loose
