Nerve block vs wound injection for breathing after kidney donation

Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy (keyhole surgery to donate a kidney).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 20 and 40.
  • You do not have known heart or lung disease, chronic pain, or allergies to the study pain medicines.
  • You are able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
