Who can take part

  • Age 18–80 years old
  • Scheduled for laparoscopic (minimally invasive) kidney removal surgery
  • Your doctor has already chosen to use either an ESP block or EXORA block for your pain management
  • Overall health status allows for surgery (ASA class I–III)
  • BMI of 35 kg/m² or lower (height-to-weight ratio within safe range)
  • No current or past dependence on opioids, alcohol, or other substances
