  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been taking an SGLT2 inhibitor medication (like empagliflozin, dapagliflozin, or canagliflozin) regularly in the last 3 months, even if you stopped before surgery.
  • You are scheduled for a surgery that will require at least one overnight stay in the hospital.
  • You are willing and able to give your consent to participate.
