Who can take part
- You are between 30 and 75 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 21 and 45.
- Your average blood sugar (HbA1c) is between 7.0% and 11%.
- Your kidneys are working well (eGFR above 60).
- You take only certain diabetes medicines (like metformin, sulfonylureas, or stable doses of GLP-1 agonists or DPP-4 inhibitors). If you take an SGLT2 inhibitor, you must be willing to stop it for 2 months.
- You are not currently using insulin or thiazolidinediones (TZDs).
