Who can take part
- You are 19 years of age or older.
- Your spinal cord injury was caused by a blunt force (like a fall or car accident), not a penetrating injury such as a gunshot or stab wound.
- Your injury is between the top of your neck and your lower back (between C0 and L1 vertebrae).
- Your first blood sample must be taken within 24 hours of your injury.
- You do not have a spinal cord injury from a previous injury or have conditions like multiple sclerosis or a blood clotting disorder (such as hemophilia).
- You are able to provide informed consent to participate.
