Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 40 years old for healthy volunteers, or 35 to 75 for people with type 2 diabetes.
  • You have no history of lung disease (like asthma or COPD).
  • You do not currently smoke.
  • You are not taking SGLT2 inhibitor medications (like Jardiance, Farxiga, or Invokana).
  • You do not have severe high blood pressure, recent heart problems, or a history of severe mountain sickness.
