Sleep better after stroke with a morning exercise program

Who can take part

  • You had a stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) at least one year ago.
  • You are 55 years of age or older.
  • You have poor sleep quality (for example, you often wake up at night or don't feel rested).
  • You can walk at least 6 meters (about 20 feet) with rests, with or without a walker or cane.
  • You are not currently doing regular exercise or therapy like weight lifting or treadmill.
  • You do not have untreated sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, dementia, or Parkinson's disease.
