Who can take part
- You have a large cervical disc prolapse (a disc that has slipped out and takes up at least 40% of the space in your spinal canal)
- You have a condition called 'cervical canal stenosis' (narrowing of the spinal canal) along with the disc prolapse
- You have symptoms of myelopathy (spinal cord compression), such as numbness, weakness, or trouble walking
- Your disc prolapse is due to wear and tear (degenerative), not from an injury
- You do NOT have a condition called ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL)
