This trial tests a new treatment using your own immune cells, called tolerogenic dendritic cells, to help your body accept a kidney transplant. It is designed for people who are highly sensitized and have a very hard time finding a matching donor kidney.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old and on the kidney transplant waiting list.
  • You are highly sensitized, meaning your immune system reacts to many potential donors (cPRA score 90% or higher).
  • Your transplant team believes you have a good chance of receiving a kidney in the next 12 months.
  • You have veins that can handle a blood-collection procedure called leukapheresis.
  • You do not have active infections like tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis B or C, or certain other viruses.
