Who can take part
- You have a type of head and neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, starting in the mouth, throat, voice box, or tonsil area.
- Your cancer has already gotten worse after receiving standard first-line treatment with pembrolizumab (immunotherapy) plus a platinum drug (like cisplatin) and 5-FU (chemotherapy).
- You have not had paclitaxel or cetuximab before for your head and neck cancer.
- You are willing to have a new biopsy (tissue sample) taken from your tumor before starting the study, or provide a stored sample.
- You are generally healthy enough to be up and about (ECOG score 0 or 1) and have good organ function (kidneys, liver, blood counts).
- You are not pregnant, and you agree to use effective birth control during and for 6 months after treatment.
