Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are getting high-dose-rate brachytherapy with iridium-192, alone or with external beam radiation.
  • You have prostate cancer (new or returned) or certain gynecologic cancers (cervix, vulva, vaginal, or endometrial) at specific stages.
  • You are well enough to have daily activities (performance status 0-2).
  • You have not had brachytherapy to the same area before.
  • You can give informed consent and understand English.
