Who can take part

  • You must have a newly diagnosed solitary plasmacytoma (a single tumor made of plasma cells) that has been confirmed by biopsy.
  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your tumor must be a single spot on imaging (PET-CT or MRI) with no signs of multiple myeloma (no more than 10% plasma cells in bone marrow and no other organ damage).
  • You must be able to lie still for the radiation treatment, and your doctor must think SBRT is safe for you.
  • You must not have other cancers, uncontrolled infections, or certain heart, lung, or nerve conditions.
  • You must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of blood clots, autoimmune disease, or HIV, active hepatitis B or C.
