Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 89 years old.
  • You have already had a procedure called PED-TAE (pressure-enabled embolization) using the TriNav system.
  • You have a thyroid condition that is either: (1) hyperthyroidism from a toxic nodule or goiter, (2) a non-cancerous goiter or nodule causing symptoms like neck pain or trouble swallowing, (3) you are unable or unwilling to have surgery, radiation, or other ablation, or (4) you have a benign thyroid nodule (Bethesda 2-3) confirmed by two biopsies and a molecular test, and you declined surgery.
  • You do not have kidney failure, severe contrast allergy, or pregnancy.
  • You do not have Graves' disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, or certain abnormal blood vessel patterns in the neck.
  • You have not had prior thyroid heat ablation.
  • Your thyroid biopsy results are not suspicious for cancer (Bethesda 4-6).
