Measure radiation in thyroid cancer using a special PET-CT scan

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have confirmed differentiated thyroid cancer from your pathology report
  • You had total thyroid removal surgery, sometimes with lymph node removal in the neck
  • Your cancer is known or suspected to still be there or has come back, or has spread
  • You are ready for brain and spine imaging with contrast (dye) before the trial scans
  • Your urine iodine level is 150 micrograms or less in 24 hours
