Who can take part

  • You are a child or teenager with knock-knees or bowlegs that need treatment.
  • Your growth plates are still open (you are still growing).
  • You are at least 4 years old for bowlegs or 7 years old for knock-knees.
  • You have at least one year of growth left before reaching adult height (usually up to age 14 for girls, 16 for boys).
  • You do not have a disease that damages the growth plate (like advanced Blount's disease or a growth plate injury).
  • You do not have a severe untreated bone or hormone condition that affects growth (like advanced rickets or untreated thyroid problems).
