Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You received a kidney transplant more than 3 months ago.
- You are now in the ICU because of a severe infection causing low blood pressure (septic shock) and/or a serious lung infection causing breathing trouble.
- You take at least two anti-rejection medications (such as steroids, tacrolimus, mycophenolate, or similar).
- You are not on chronic dialysis, and your kidney function is not severely reduced (eGFR above 20).
- You are not taking belatacept (Nulojix) for anti-rejection therapy.
