Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old
  • You have had at least 2 moderate COPD flare-ups (needing antibiotics or steroids) or 1 severe flare-up (needing hospital) in the last year
  • Your eosinophil count (a type of white blood cell) is 150 or higher on a recent blood test
  • You have COPD symptoms that affect your daily life (score 15 or more on a standard questionnaire)
  • You are currently using a triple inhaler (steroid + two bronchodilators) or a dual inhaler if triple isn't suitable, for at least 3 months
  • You are a former or current smoker with at least a 10 pack-year history (e.g., 1 pack a day for 10 years)
