Tezepelumab for moderate to very severe COPD

This study tests a new medication called tezepelumab (given as a shot) to see if it can reduce COPD flare-ups in people with moderate to very severe COPD who have had recent flare-ups despite using inhalers. It may be an option for those with higher levels of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) in their blood.

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You have had COPD for at least 1 year.
  • You have had at least 2 moderate flare-ups or 1 severe flare-up in the past year, and at least one of those flare-ups required steroids.
  • You are currently taking a triple or dual inhaler for COPD for at least 3 months.
  • Your blood test shows a certain type of white blood cell (eosinophils) count of 150 or higher.
  • You are a current or former smoker with at least a 10 pack-year smoking history.
