- You do not have epilepsy or a history of seizures
- You do not have a cardiac pacemaker
- You have not had brain surgery
- You do not have past or current swallowing problems
- You do not take medication that affects your central nervous system (like antidepressants or sedatives)
- There is no metal in your head (like surgical clips or implants)
- If you could become pregnant, you are not currently pregnant
