Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your swallowing problem is due to a nerve/brain cause such as stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, dementia, polyradiculitis, or traumatic brain injury
  • Your condition may be from ischemic or bleeding stroke, and it can be in different brain areas
  • Your medical team says it is safe for a nasogastric tube to be placed (a tube through the nose)
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding
