- Your child must be between 6 and 11 years old.
- Your child's weight must be at or above the 85th percentile for their age and height (overweight or obese).
- Your family lives in a rural area (not a big city).
- Your family speaks English or Spanish at home.
- Your child does not have a physical injury or medical issue that would make it hard to be active or follow the program.
- Your child is not already in another weight-loss study, and no sibling is already in this study.
