  • You must be between 8 and 75 years old.
  • You need a confirmed genetic diagnosis of primary mitochondrial disease.
  • You should be on standard care that includes supplements like N-acetylcysteine (NAC).
  • You must be able to lie still in an MRI scanner without metal implants or devices.
  • You cannot be pregnant or have a history of eye injury with metal fragments.
