How Yerba Mate Harvest and Preparation Affect Cholesterol

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You currently drink yerba mate (as mate or tereré).
  • You can stop drinking yerba mate for 2 weeks before the study.
  • You are not taking cholesterol-lowering medication.
  • You do not have a history of heart disease or coronary artery problems.
  • You are willing to only drink the yerba mate provided by the study team during the trial.
