Who can take part
- Be a male between 20 and 40 years old.
- Have a VO2max of at least 60 ml/kg/min (a measure of how efficiently your body uses oxygen during exercise).
- Have been training consistently for at least 6 years (for some stages) or 3 years (for other stages).
- Not have done any altitude training in the past 6 months.
- Be a competitive cyclist in the pre-competition phase (for one stage).
- Have no chronic diseases, and have normal blood pressure (systolic 100-140 mmHg and diastolic 60-90 mmHg).
- Not use drugs, drink alcohol, or smoke.
