Comparing blood markers in coronary artery disease

Coronary Arterial Disease (CAD)

Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old and a patient at the University of Sao Paulo General Hospital.
  • You need a recent imaging test (CCTA or ICA) showing either no plaque, non-obstructive plaque (less than 50% blockage), or obstructive plaque (50% or more blockage).
  • You cannot have any heart disease not caused by plaque, like valve problems or heart muscle disease.
  • Your kidney function must be adequate (creatinine clearance over 30).
  • You cannot have had a heart attack or unstable angina in the last 90 days.
  • You cannot be a current smoker.
