Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a symptomatic chronic subdural hematoma that needs surgery.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have conditions that would make lying with your head lower than your body unsafe (like severe heart failure, unstable angina, severe lung disease, glaucoma, recent spinal cord injury, or significant blood vessel disease).
  • You have not had previous surgery for a chronic subdural hematoma on the same side of your head.
  • You are not currently participating in another clinical trial.
