  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a chronic subdural hematoma (slow brain bleed) that needs surgery such as a burr hole or craniotomy
  • You can give permission (or have a family member do it for you) for the study
  • You do not have a fresh or sudden blood clot on the brain
  • You do not have a bleeding problem that is not controlled
  • You do not have any metal or electronic devices in your head, like a pacemaker or brain stimulator
